Transmetrics has added a senior carrier and logistics executive to its board as it starts expanding its transport management system across Europe. Nikolay Pargov, chairman of Alpega’s board, joined Transmetrics’ Board of Directors on October 20, 2026, after more than two decades working across road transport, logistics and freight technology.

The appointment comes shortly after Transmetrics TMS launched in September. The company says it intends to reach more carriers and countries while continuing to develop the product as fleets join. Pargov’s experience spans freight brokerage, transport software, global logistics and large road carriers, giving him exposure to different parts of the operating chain the system is intended to serve.

Experience across logistics and road transport

Pargov spent 11 years at DHL, where he rose to Global Head of Ground Operations. In 2016, he joined C.H. Robinson as Operations Director for Europe. He later worked at Transporeon as CEO of ControlPay, then as chief commercial officer and chief revenue officer.

In 2024, Pargov joined Girteka, a major European road carrier, and became its CEO in 2025. He is now chairman of the board at Alpega, the logistics software group behind three leading European freight exchanges and a network of 80,000 carriers.

That combination of carrier operations and software experience is relevant to a TMS because the system sits between planning work and daily fleet execution. Carriers need tools that account for orders, vehicles, drivers and documents, while fitting the way dispatchers and office teams handle those tasks. Pargov’s background gives him experience with these pressures from several business roles, though the company has not described specific board decisions or product changes tied to his appointment.

Product priorities and European growth

Transmetrics says Pargov will advise on product development and expansion into additional European countries. The company identifies empty kilometres, thin margins and driver shortages as operational challenges he has encountered during his career. Its stated aim is for new product features to address the practical needs carriers face in day-to-day fleet management.

Expansion across countries also involves adapting a system to local operating requirements. Transmetrics says it wants carriers to use the TMS in their own language and work with documents relevant to their country. For fleet teams evaluating software, those details affect how readily a system fits existing processes: staff need to work with familiar information and complete routine tasks without adding unnecessary steps.

Pargov said he had seen carriers lose margin through empty running, manual planning and software that does not fit how a fleet works. He described Transmetrics’ tools as usable by dispatchers from their first day and said he was joining the board to help more European carriers gain that advantage. His comments set out the operational case the company is making for the product; they do not specify measured savings or results for customers.

What carriers can assess

Transmetrics describes its TMS as designed for European carriers operating 20 to 500 trucks. The product brings orders, trucks, drivers and documents into one system. The company says users can make changes by entering plain-language requests, without needing developers, and lists a starting price of €6 per truck per month.

Those capabilities point to a practical evaluation for fleet managers: whether the software can bring core information into a shared workflow, support dispatchers’ daily tasks and accommodate local language and document needs. Pricing and the stated fleet range provide initial parameters, but the fit for an individual operation depends on its processes and requirements.

Transmetrics also offers SpotLoad for load scoring and FleetMetrics for fleet profitability. The company says both can integrate with a carrier’s current IT setup. Together with the TMS, they extend the product set into load assessment and fleet performance, while leaving carriers to consider how those functions fit their existing systems.

Carriers can review the Transmetrics TMS and book a demo to see how it works for their fleet. The appointment gives Transmetrics an experienced road transport and software executive as the company takes its recently launched system into more European markets; its progress will depend on how well the product fits carriers’ operating needs as that expansion proceeds.
